Custom design
Bring the idea — a reference, a rough sketch, or just a description — and we draw it for you. Nothing goes on skin until the design is right and you have said so.
Tampa Bay Area · Tattoo Studio
Emberline Tattoo Co. is a tattoo studio serving the Tampa Bay Area — custom design, cover-ups, fine line, blackwork, script and full color, drawn for you and tattooed in a room that feels welcoming from the first minute.
What Gets Done Here
Fine line florals and single-needle detail, solid blackwork, smooth black-and-grey, packed color, script. If you have an idea, a rough sketch, or a tattoo you want gone — bring it in and we will design around it.
Bring the idea — a reference, a rough sketch, or just a description — and we draw it for you. Nothing goes on skin until the design is right and you have said so.
Old name, old initials, old work you have stopped loving. Cover-ups are a regular part of the calendar here, and we will tell you honestly what can be covered cleanly and what is better off reworked.
Delicate, light-handed line work — florals, creatures, single-needle detail. Fine line is its own discipline, and a light hand is the standard we hold ourselves to on every piece.
Solid saturated black, bold graphic shapes, and soft black-and-grey shading — silhouettes, geometry and smooth gradients, built to keep their edges as they heal.
Bright, saturated color work when the piece calls for it — new school, character work, color packed tight enough to still read from across a room.
Names, quotes, fingers, behind the ear, first-ever tattoos. Small does not mean rushed — the same design time and the same clean setup go into every piece.
Why People Come Back
That word comes up long before anyone mentions the artwork. Here is what makes the difference in this room.
Warm walls, plants, framed art, and good light over every station. This is not the intimidating back-alley tattoo shop stereotype, and clients notice the second they walk in.
"I expected to feel out of place, and instead felt looked after the whole time."
No rotating chairs and no guesswork about who is tattooing you. You meet your artist at the consultation, and the same hands draw the design and finish the piece.
"Same artist from the first sketch to the last line. That mattered more than I expected."
Design conversation first, questions answered without attitude, and the piece built around what you actually asked for — not around what is quickest to tattoo.
"They listened to every detail, and it came out better than the picture in my head."
Out Of This Chair
Fine line, blackwork, black-and-grey, script and full color. Whatever the style, the design is drawn for you first and tattooed in a single clean setup.
Single-needle detail, florals and light, precise linework.
Solid saturated black, bold shapes and clean silhouettes.
Smooth shading and soft gradients that hold up as they heal.
Bright, tightly packed color that still reads across a room.
Names, quotes and dates, spaced and weighted to last.
Old work reworked or covered, with an honest read up front.
Creatures, botanicals and character work drawn from scratch.
Fingers, behind the ear, first tattoos. Small, never rushed.
Template note: this build ships with zero photography — every panel above is CSS and type. Replace them only with the studio's own healed work. Never use stock tattoo photography, which would present another artist's work as this studio's portfolio.
From The Chair
I sat down with a rough idea and half a reference photo, and walked out with something I could not have described if I tried. The drawing stage was the best part — nothing got touched until I said it was right.
Clean shop, easy conversation, and no attitude about any of my questions. Already planning the next one.
This was my first tattoo and I was genuinely nervous walking in. They talked me through the whole setup, checked in the entire time, and it hurt far less than I had built up in my head. The linework is perfect.
Brought in a faded piece from years ago that I had stopped liking. They were straight with me about what would and would not cover, and the design they came back with turned it into something I actually want to show people.
Light hand, steady lines, and a room that does not feel intimidating at all. Warm walls, plants, music on low. My fine line florals healed exactly the way they looked on day one.
Booked a small piece on my lunch break and it was quick and smooth start to finish. Everything came out of a fresh pack, the station was spotless, and the aftercare was actually explained rather than handed to me.
